Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee: Breezy ‘Glades
A very windy day at Arthur R. Marshall — absolutely LOVELY! And the visiting (human) snowbirds are beginning their weekend trips to the Florida sanctuaries and parks. Hopefully the trash won’t accumulate, as it sadly can during such times of increased traffic — definitely a mixed blessing.

excellent post, very informative. I wonder why the other specialists of this sector don’t notice this. You should continue your writing. I am sure, you have a huge readers’ base already!
Thanks so very much for your kind words! I do hope that this site serves to rouse support of our local natural areas, and the region’s unique (and chaotic) beauty. WRT to the increased trash … It’s so sad to see — especially when there are accessible waste bins. But we’ve taken to carrying bags ourselves whenever possible. Every bit counts. 🙂 Thanks again!
Hi there, found this website via a discussion board I visit, and was curious if I could perhaps use this webpage as a resource in one of my own websites. Any credit would certainly be given to the original source, i.e. : https://serenityspell.wordpress.com/2011/11/07/breezy-glades/ . Would like it, so please be sure to get to me personally by my e-mail in case I can’t: Medows@gmail.com . Thanks a bunch 🙂
Greetings — Many thanks for asking! These days it can be rare to ask for permission, so I certainly appreciate it. 🙂 Absolutely, you can reference https://serenityspell.com + Serenity Spell, and provide an active link (should it work in). Out of curiosity, what discussion board did you find Serenity Spell on? I only ask because I may find info there, myself! (Email also sent, FYI…)
What about a letter writing campaign? To Neukom and the board.
It’s definitely a great idea — and a thought that’s crossed my mind as I’ve dragged trash around, lol. I was also going to write, to question some of the “for sale” signs I’ve seen posted on parcels of untouched Florida land that border the refuge, and are home to critters — including nesting great-horned owls and hawks (SAD FACE). Thanks so much for the note + reminder!
Great post. Thanks for the info.
Thanks so very much for your kind note! 🙂
